Novus Nexus™ supports the exchange of data using ftp.novusnexus.com. Please request for getting login userid/password to [email protected].
Since our IT support partner for ftp.novusnexus.com supports only FTPS protocol, users need to use an FTP client which supports FTPS protocol. We officially recommend using FileZilla for uploading/downloading data from the FTP server (See FileZilla FTPS Settings). Users are free to use any other FTP client supporting FTPS protocol. If you are using a different FTP client, please write to us at [email protected]. and we will try to help you to update the settings.
Notes:
- FTPS protocol is unsupported on MS-DOS command prompt.
- There is a list of various FTP client tools free/commercial on Wikipedia FTP Clients List.
- FTPS uses SSL to establish an encrypted connection when you are transferring content, by establishing a secure connection this ensures that the content of the files and your username and password remain protected.
FTP settings for FileZilla?
- Click the File menu. See image below.
- Click Site Manager. This will popup dialog is shown in the image below.
- Click New Site.
- Give name ftp.novusnexus.com.
- Fill out the settings:
- Host: ftp.novusnexus.com
- Port: Leave blank
- Protocol: FTP – File Transfer Protocol
- Encryption: Require explicit FTP over TLS
- Login Type: Normal
- User: User id provided by Novus Nexus™.
- Password: Password provided by Novus Nexus™.

- Click on Connect. . The first time you connect using FTPS, you will get an Unknown certificate pop up.
- This is expected behavior. Check the box Always trust certificate in future sessions and you will not get this prompt again.
FTP settings for WinSCP?

- Fill out the settings:
- File protocol: FTP
- Encryption: TLS/SSL Explicit Encryption
- Host Name: ftp.novusnexus.com
- Port: Leave blank
- User Name: User id provided by Novus Nexus™.
- Password: Password provided by Novus Nexus™.
- Click on Login
